This is the block that replaces cuttlebone, loose grit, and beak conditioners. Calcium is used by birds in much smaller quantities than they display when they destroy a cuttlebone in a few minutes. Loose grit is an important aid in the digestive process, but most grit is not sized for all types of birds. Beak conditioners of lava rock can cut or injure some birds if taken internally. As an alternative to each, GOLDEN WEST BIRD PRODUCTS has formulated blocks that combine the benefits of all three, and best of all, the bird chooses the right size for itself! That’s right, the calcium in block form combines with grit and becomes a great beak conditioner. All this and minerals too! The SMALL blocks are for single birds or up to 4 small birds in a cage. The LARGE blocks are perfect for larger birds in individual cages or for use in aviaries and flights.
